Old Masters and Modern Classics
In 2010 join us for a series of inspirational workshops where you will be able to create your very own representation of your favouite classic or contemporary 'Masterpiece'. You will be able to explore, using a wide range of textile crafts, ways to blend colours, shape and mould textiles to create a truely wonderful piece of work.

Felt Making
Our ever popular felt making workshops will run throughout 2010.

Hooky & Proggy
Ever polpular we will of course be running hooky and proggy workshops at various inspirational locations and if there is enough interest we may run a 2 day workshop in the autumn.

Venues
In 2010 we will be running workshops at the Allendale Bakery, Shepherds Dene Retreat House, The Garden Station and Pebbles in Allendale. All wonderful locations which inspire creativity and foster relaxation and where good food is always on hand!

Studio, Gallery and Shop for Lapwing

Amanda Galbraith of Allendale Creative Arts and Pebbles Gallery & Art Cafe is in the process of developing a plot of land in Allendale which will form a new Creative Arts Centre in the heart of Allendale. If all goes to plan it is hoped that building works will start in January 2010 with completion by Christmas 2010.

As well as providing an Art Gallery, Coffee Shop and Tea Room and a Craft Shop, space is also going to be rented to artists and creative businesses and Lapwing will be taking a studio in this development where we will run workshops, sell kits, books, wools, fibres, threads and have the space to develop our own work too.
