Lapwing was founded in 2004 and
provides inspirational and fun textile craft courses. Since
2004 we have gone from strength to strength and Lapwing is now
a well established quality creative workshop provider within
Northumberland and the North East and from 2010 we will also be offering ceramic workshops.
Our craft courses are run in lovely
venues offering the chance to learn exciting new skills at
a pace which suits the individual. Workshops cover a wide
range of ages and abilities and participants are able to explore
a range of arts and crafts including Felt Making, Textile
collage, Textile wrapping, Hooky and Proggy mat making, Silk
Paper Making, Cyanotype Printing, Mosaics, Ceramic pots, beads and buttons, silk painting and much more.
Lapwing also offer tailor made services
for community groups, schools and corporate organizations:
we write bespoke workshops which can incorporate salient issues
such as Team Building and Stress Management.
Our residential craft workshops are
run in wonderful locations throughout the beautiful Northumberland
and North East countryside, Lapwing provide opportunities
